Armstrong’s wide variety of safes can meet any protection requirements your valuables may need.
There are a number of different considerations to take into account when you are looking for a way to protect portable property which needs to be under permanent ‘lock and key’. This applies whether you’re looking for a home safe or a commercial safe.
Do I need a home safe?
Home safes are used for the protection of portable property such as:
Birth and marriage certificates
Identification documentation and passports
Wills, Living Trusts, and Medical information
Property titles, insurance policies, and house and contents photos
Safe deposit box keys, spare car and house keys
Financial account information
Are there different kinds of safes for commercial clients?
Commercial safes depend entirely on the type of business your organisation conducts. They can include:
Coin and Cash Dispensing Safes: If you need greater control over your cash during working hours, this safe will prevent employee theft.
Cell Phone Storage Lockers: Cell phones are so easy to purloin but your staff may need easy access to them during working hours. These safes will protect them.
Depository Safe: Depository safes drop safes or drop boxes provide temporary cash protection for your business's deposits.
High-Security Intruder Safes: When you need to secure large sums of money or high-value content, you don’t want a small safe that’s easy to lift and carry away. You want one that’s high-security and resistant to fire.
Hotel Safes: The hospitality industry needs to be able to protect both their own and guests’ items such as cash, cameras, jewelry, and laptop computers.
Pharmacy Safes: Medicine, especially the narcotic forms need to be protected against theft and abuse and so need to meet not only strict anti-theft regulations but also strict medical storage standards.
Restaurant Safes: Theft and fire protection are essential for restaurants.
Safe Deposit Boxes: Financial institutions such as banks need to be able to store and protect their clients’ valuable documents such as property deeds and wills. They also need to protect small portable items such as jewelry and precious stones.
Teller Lockers: Banks and shops need to protect cash from internal theft as well as robbery. Teller lockers are the answer as they can also hold cash boxes.
Under Counter Safes: Secured beneath the counter these safes come complete with an anti-fishing slot provide easy access for money deposits and at the same time prevent money from being fished back out after it’s been deposited.
Key Safes: Yes, even your keys need to be under lock and key for maximum security.

There’s no need to be at the mercy of thieves or fire. You can keep your valuables safe from both.

Armstrong and Yale Safe Solutions
It’s important to remember that most paper ignites at 170°C. There are some forms of documentation, like photographic paper which ignites at lower temperatures. Which is why Armstrong uses only the Yale’s product line.
Combining the latest technologies and materials with new research and centuries of experience, Yale, the preferred brand worldwide has created a range of safes which meet the most demanding requirements, including being able to withstand intense heat and humidity, giving you greater peace of mind. You have access thanks to a personal PIN code. Unwanted access to the safes is prevented thanks to each safe’s ‘3 incorrect PIN attempt lockdown’ protocol.
The fact that Armstrong uses Yale products exclusively, means your family, your employees, and your assets will be better protected, and you will have greater peace of mind.
Our proven expertise in bringing peace of mind to New Zealanders for over 40 years is the result of our committed focus on installing and servicing Yale products, the world’s best safes, on our customers’ properties. We also deliver Yale safes FREE of charge anywhere in New Zealand.
But that’s just the start. There’s more to our solutions than at first meets the eye.
2 Added layers of protection
Armstrong supplied products and systems have added layers of protection already built in.
The first added layer of protection comes from the fact that Armstrong installed Yale safes can be connected to CCTV, home surveillance and outdoor surveillance systems.
There’s also the ‘Safety Contact’ feature part of our monitoring and surveillance systems. Safety Contact can be arranged with Armstrong which means that on top of the alarms and monitoring, one of our security officers will contact you as soon as the alarm is triggered to inform you the alarm is ringing, and to discover if everything is alright or do you need help. Passwords are the best way to indicate this in case you are unable to be specific. If there is no response to our call, we will send security guards to your property.
A second layer of protection means you don’t have to be at home or at the office to hear the alarm. If you have access to the internet you will receive the notification the alarms have been triggered, no matter where you are in the world.
